Oak Tree (Quercus robber)
The 8th of May 2006 the Oak Tree (Quercus robber) was inaugurated to be the Children’s Meeting Place of Stockholm City Hall. The Oak Tree was planted when the City Hall was built and is beautifully situated on the inner yard of the City Hall. The Lord Mayor of Stockholm and leaders from all political parties of Stockholm participated in the ceremony and declared the Oak Tree will be a Meeting Place for dialogue between children and Stockholm decision makers. 200 children from 10 City Districts of Stockholm participated.
