The Future Vessel is created at an ordinary Municipal Council Meeting in Strängnäs

A unique Future Vessel was created at a Municipal Council Meeting in Strängnäs, Sweden. Children in many schools prepared the Future Vessel by uniting visions and actions for a better future. The classes took contact with the politicians. – Come and create the Future Vessel together with us children! Bring something you can give to the Future Vessel. It shall be something that is important for you! The children and the politicians created the future together and the dialogue between children and politicians touched all. Many adults came from the Future Vessel with tears in their eyes.

Letter from UNEP – a very special assignment!

The 7th of August we open the letter from UNEP (United Nations Environment Progam) which authorize Globetree to establish and run a Children’s Meeting Place on the grounds of United Nations, Nairobi.

We get a very important and special assignment from United Nations Environment Program – to establish and run a Children’s Meeting Place on the grounds of United Nations, Nairobi – a place where children and leaders of the world discuss what is important for children with focus on environmental issues. It’s really a special assignment! UN in Nairobi is the Head Office for United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and UN Habitat. There are four UN head offices in the world in New York, Vienna, Geneva and Nairobi.

In the letter UNEP wishes the inauguration to be in conjunction with United Nations General Assembly Special Session on Children. We realize we have about one month to prepare for the inauguration! We celebrate the special assignment for half an hour and then we all gets going
with the preparations.
