Students were allowed to participate and inaugurate the Children’s Tree
On Thursday, representatives from Save the Children and Skellefteå municipality gathered at Nordanå together with students in year 3 at Floraskolan.
With the help of speeches, songs and ribbon-cutting, they inaugurated an oak tree that was planted to symbolize the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Save the Children’s representative started the inauguration with
“A tree can symbolize so much. With the right conditions and nutrition, a tree will grow and become powerful.
So it is with us humans too. If you get the right conditions, you will also be able to grow and become strong ”.
