Children’s Meeting Place

During the sustainability week, which ends today, a new meeting place emerged in Lund – a tree in the park behind the City Library.
There, Lund’s middle school children got a chance to tell municipal decision – makers what is important to them.
Children’s meeting place is based on the UN’s global goals of sustainable development and children’s rights.
Children are important actors in environmental and climate work.
The idea is to take back the park, and create a meeting place between children and decision-makers, says Mira Norrsell, environmental coordinator at Lund Municipality.
