UNEP Deputy Executive
Director visits Globetree
Many memories and happy laughs when Mr. Shafquat Kakahel, UNEP Deputy Executive Director, visited Globetree for a half day program end of June. Memories came to mind from Adelaide in Australia when President of Globetree received UNEP Global Roll of Honor Award three years ago. It was a week with many unforgettable field trips to unique environmental areas. The Lord Mayor of Stockholm, Mr. Barry Anderson, welcomed Mr. Kakahel in his office at the Stockholm City Hall. Globetree upcoming Roots Meeting program was discussed as well as future plans for a Global Event in Stockholm.

What a day!
Children sang, made drama sharing their life stories, played together and made a small book to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan – with messages to come and join the Christmas party!
